3D ‘super hospital’ planning success

March 8, 2011

Planning consent has been granted for Scotland’s largest hospital. Here at Wagstaffs, we worked on a selection of still 3D visuals for the Nightingale Associates-designed £840 million ‘super hospital’ in Glasgow city centre.

The new 170,000 sq m South Glasgow Hospital Campus will be one of the largest hospitals ever commissioned to be built in the UK, and will centralise acute services currently provided by three different hospitals - providing 1,100-bed adult hospital; 250-bed children’s hospital; laboratory facilities and support accommodation.

3D image shows new and improved Denmark Hill station

February 9, 2011

We have just worked with Network Rail to produce a 3D image of Denmark Hill station, to show how the station is going to be made more accessible for travellers as part of the government’s £370million Access for All programme.

A 3D visualisation of how Denmark Hill station could look

The image, unveiled last week, showed a new footbridge and lifts planned for Denmark Hill, which will create a step-free route between the station entrance and all four platforms.

An overview of the project is being exhibited at Kings College and Maudsley hospitals. For more information click here.

Branding and website for winning Crossrail tunnel contractor

January 4, 2011

When BAM Nuttall Ltd, Ferrovial Agroman (UK) Ltd and Kier Construction Ltd got together as joint venture team intent on winning contracts for Europe’s largest infrastructure project, they asked us to give them a strong identity and a website to promote their partnership.

Team BFK was born. The identity was built around the successful reputations of the individual businesses coming together as one, cemented by their successful partnership track record.

The BFK team have now just secured two major Crossrail tunnelling contracts, the most significant tunnel contracts to be awarded in the UK since the Jubilee Line Extension and Channel Tunnel Rail Link.

‘Jason and the team at Wagstaffs were quick to grasp a clear understanding of what we were trying to achieve as a JV and created a brand and a website that ultimately helped us to secure these great wins – thank you!’ Adrian St John, Kier

Here at Wagstaffs, we are celebrating the great news that the £700 million Tithebarn shopping centre scheme in Preston, designed by international architecture firm Building Design Partnership (BDP), has been given the green light by Communities and Local Government Secretary Eric Pickles.

Our 3D CGIs have been seen in numerous publications in print and online throughout the public inquiry – a vision of the future for Preston City Centre.

Wagstaffs support Spenhill in Sittingbourne

November 16, 2010

From 3D visualisation through to a consultation website and public exhibition, Wagstaffs has played a part in the unveiling of plans for massive investment in Sittingbourne, by Spenhill, the regeneration subsidiary of Tesco.

Throughout this lengthy planning journey, Wagstaffs Design helped Spenhill to communicate and consult with local people.

It has been crucial to Wagstaffs and our client that the messages of inward investment, regeneration and jobs were all top of the consultation agenda and it is hoped that they will have a positive impact on Swale Borough Council now the planning application has been lodged.

A Welcome Change for Network Rail

November 3, 2010

We were recently asked by Network Rail Property to rebrand their Customer Welcome Pack from Spacia into Network Rail’s new corporate guidelines.

Our brief was to simplify the existing format, make the content easier to understand for new tenants and re-write the text so it fits in with Network Rail’s new tone of voice guidelines.

Michaella Charlton, Network Rail’s Marketing Specialist (Property) commented, “The team at Wagstaffs created a new Customer Welcome Pack for our new customers moving into their property. Their design ideas were great and they really understood our requirements, to get important information across in an interesting and easy to read format. Wagstaffs are a pleasure to work with - very professional and efficient!”
